WALT; use drama techniques.
In one of my lessons of drama I was miming Cinderella with Ella, Kayla and Riley, I was the prince. I had to try to and find my princess and I tried the shoe on all the girls.
In a different lesson we read a book called Giraffes Can't Dance and we had to show the different emotions we thought Harold the giraffe might have felt. We used the technique conscience ally.

Pluto is NOT a planet, it's a dwarf planet
The thing that has changed the most in Christchurch over the last years is the population.
The order of the layers surrounding earth from the closest to the furthest away is; troposphere, Ozone layer, Stratosphere.
NASA are trying to make mars a place that where we can live because of our overpopulation problem.

Writing- My Super Hero Story.
Walt; Write a creative story suitable for five year olds.
Amy-Louise lived on for many more years solving problems all over the world with her handy sidekick Daisy the dog.
Amy-Louise vs Eliza Evil.
Once upon a time there was an evil villain named Eliza Evil who was in jail in Perth, Australia. For a year now she had been planning a great escape out of the highly protected, massive jail. Her plan to get out was to cause a problem in the opposite side of the jail to where she was escaping and to then quickly run off through the tunnel she had created many weeks ago.
Eliza was a dull character who never did anything nice for others and had a passion for being evil. Her dream was to make the whole world evil and to make people evil too. Eliza´s sidekick was an evil cat named Donna Dark, a cat which loved to cause problems.
The reason Eliza desired to break out of the horrible, prison was because there was a rumour going around the jail. The rumour was that a young superhero planned to capture all bad guys and villains and put them into a special jail so everybody in the World would be safe.
Amy-Louise, the super hero Eliza had heard about, was a bright and bubbly person who loved to solve problems and make the world a better place. Her sidekick was a calm dog called Daisy, her personality was as bright as the sun.
Many days later Eliza had successfully escaped the prison and was breathing in the frosty air and freedom. The first thing she decided to do was to find the great superhero who was called Amy-Louise. After a few hours Eliza located Amy-Louise across the country in Sydney. They met outside a fast food place.
Then they started to battle, Eliza made the first move by shooting lasers out of her earrings but Amy smartly dodged the small red dots. Quickly reacting Amy pulled out her trap that captures anything. Amy threw the trap at Eliza but she avoided it.
Suddenly, Eliza darted off but as she darted away from her nemesis she shouted, ‘I’ll be back for you Amy’
The next day Amy waited for Eliza outside her office but she never saw her that day. Nor the next day. She waited for Eliza for the next few days but nobody ever saw her again.

Persuasive argument about schools and learning in the future
WALT: write a persuasive argument about schools and learning in the future.
Next step; my next step is to use more persuasive language in my writing and to have more detailed description.
In my opinion it is an extremely good idea that schools are changing to become better schools to assist a future child's learning.
Using computers, Ipads and other technology is helping children with their learning because they can do their work online and learn to use a computer for when they are older. When we use computers we are saving trees because paper comes from trees and if we use up all the trees then we will die because there won’t be any oxygen. It is a fact that nobody would like for that to happen.
Secondly, I feel that we should have verandahs where children can go outside and work whenever they want. This is because some people prefer to work in nature’s spaces or in a quiet area. In the future Oaklands school should have an adventure playground for each year level. I believe that they should be challenging so kids would be thinking about what to do and their brains would be thinking and learning which would help in the classroom.
Lastly, I think that we should have special walls and ceilings that are soundproof, this would help because some people prefer to work in quiet spaces by themselves. There should be special areas so people can do so. The future Oaklands should also have separate learning spaces so people can work alone and have a cubby of their own. I think that this would help learning because if you want to work alone or you need some peace and quiet you can go to your cubby. Furthermore, Oaklands School should get whiteboard tables so if you’re working something out you can just write it down and then rub it out rather than using paper and losing oxygen.
Overall, I believe that it is critical that Oaklands School has all of the things that are in my argument because they WILL most definitely benefit a child's learning and make them a smarter and better person.
Next step; my next step is to use more persuasive language in my writing and to have more detailed description.
Future Classroom
Library- the library is at the front on the left, it has a couch, a bean bag, a tree bookshelf and lots of cushions; it is the perfect place to read and relax.
Walls- the walls are good for learning because they make the room bright and colourful to encourage a child’s learning. On the walls there is a pieces of abstract art, self portraits, a tree book shelf, a hanging dolphin and the teacher’s white board. The walls are located next to the floor and the sky!
The teacher’s area- the teachers area is a good working space to learn so that the teacher can help you on what you want to know. The teachers area is located at the left top corner of the classroom.
Individual Cubbies- the individual cubbies are all along the wall on the right side, they are a great place to learn especially if you like to work on your own or in a silent space; you can put all of your own belongings in your cubby.
The mat- the mat is in front of the teacher’s whiteboard and is in the middle of the room. It is colourful and has a pretend log at the back that is a tunnel and a backrest and it can flip over to provide more space for the children to sit on.
